What is PRP?

What is PRP?
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) or Plasma rich in thrombocytes is a unique method based on the stimulation of skin stem cells with a growth factor obtained from one’s own blood plasma. Growth factors are responsible for the regeneration and growth of young tissue. With this method, it is possible to prevent aging of the skin of the face, neck, décolletage and hands, as well as the entire body. It is also possible to promote hair growth by stimulating hair follicles. The advantage of PRP is that it uses the body’s natural regenerative abilities, which is why it is safe for patients prone to allergic reactions.

When is PRP done?

PRP can be done when we want to improve the appearance and tone of the skin, as well as to hydrate it, to reduce the visibility of deeper wrinkles on the face, neck, décolleté and hands, to reduce the visibility of acne and acne scars – whenever we want to look better. This method absolutely removes a tired and lifeless appearance, reduces the intensity of irregularities from wrinkles to scars, reduces the intensity of pigmentation and generally gives a more uniform and radiant complexion.

Effects of PRP

Considering that the skin needs time to react, the first results are visible after 7 to 10 days, when there is an improvement in the moisture and appearance of the skin. During the next 2 to 6 weeks, the formation of new collagen fibers begins and the structure and tone of the skin improves. A network of new collagen and new blood vessels are formed during 2 to 3 months after the treatment.
For a complete, pronounced effect, it is necessary to repeat the treatment 2 to 3 times. Significant results will be visible after one month from the last treatment, and the full result only after 6 months.

Does it hurt?

Before the treatment, a local anesthetic is applied to the skin, so the treatment is comfortable for the patient.
